The Idrija žlikrof is the first Slovenian product registered by the European Union as a Traditional Specialty Guaranteed (TSG). The 2024 Idrija Žlikrofi Festival will send this traditional miners’ delicacy into a world of modern flavours, giving it an interesting new twist. Follow our story and join the annual Idrija Žlikrofi Festival on Saturday, August 24th 2024, for a journey of the Idrija žlikrof from tradition to modernity.

Come with children and spend the day in Idrija – visit the tourist mine and old town centre with a castle and enjoy culinary delicacies at our festival.
At traditional »Jagerchef« competition the hunters attempt at cooking the best game stew – bakalca.
Take part and contribute to reducing the impact of the festival on the environment – separate waste and come by public transport.
The festival is created in cooperation with local organizations and fans of Idrija žlikrofi.
The festival would not have been possible without the young volunteers, their families, friends and local businesses.
